Defend 'till the end - Ludum Dare 50 extra entry

LD50’s theme this year wasn’t what I hoped for, as didn’t have any original thoughts, so I decided to skip the Compo and Jam while I worked on other projects. Thankfully due to the introduction of the new Extra format I was still able to submit an entry right up until the final scoring three weeks later. After some mulling and finishing off another game I came up with this slightly overused idea, defend the world from asteroids. I still tried to keep it within a 48 hour window and this was the result. Currently working on a post-jam version which should hopefully address some of the minor issues and add some more depth to the game.
